The removable handles are not good long term. I have had them give out and drop the pan when I picked it up just from the handle. The pots and pans themselves seem fine.

Yea this is too scary. It's probably a rare occurrence but still something I can't risk happening at all.

Non-stick pans are disposables. No matter how expensive or cheap,most only last a couple years at best.

I've had my T-Fal Ultimate set for over 10 years and they're still just like new. And they go in the dishwasher.

I don't have a thing against non-stick in general, but really have to TD this brand for cheap build and quickly loosing it's non-stick in just a matter of months (didn't fall off or anything. just not effective after a short period of regular use & cleaning.) Was a different model Carote that was 'recommended by Amzn' when I was looking for something different from my previous TFal. This set is even cheaper, so unlikely to be any better. If you're just looking for a cheap set to use only occasionally in an RV or whatever, then they might be fine. As a regular use set, I'd definitely pass.

While you can expect them to wear out, a good quality pan that's taken care of properly will last more than just a couple years. I have an old 'The Rock' by Starfrit that's still good after a decade, but we don't use it as often because it's a bit warped. With the annodized non-stick TFal pans we had, the first lasted almost 5 years before needing replacing, but the second was having issues after just a few years and seemed like the quality had lessened (made in France -> China). Most recently we picked up an Oxo annodized NS pan and it shows no sign of failing after a couple years already.

YMMV but I have had these for 2 years now and haven't had a single problem with them. Non stick works great and the handles are still solid.

If you don't want to spend this much, then go with a lower priced versions which have exactly the same coating. Target often has them on sale.
