If you want speedy support, I DON'T recommend this product. I bought this same unit, with a Smart Home Panel 2, from Costco on Black Friday 2024. I received everything (did you know a trolley is included?) in mid-December 2024 and installed it myself within a few days. The battery backup didn't work, so I contacted Ecoflow to get a replacement. They required a lot of proof, pictures and videos, before doing anything else. I even spoke over the phone and did diagnostics with a digital multi meter on a live panel, checking for voltages and shorts. Ecoflow determined the panel was defective, and sent a new one. They offered an electrician to replace the panel, but I didn't trust their work since their website showed questionable workmanship. Anyways, I got the new panel, and guess what, it still didn't work. For 2 months, they claimed their "R&D" team was "looking into it", but I had to get their social media team involved to move it faster. The social media team was able to get a replacement inverter sent to me within 2 or 3 days of my contact. I got the inverter after a week, and it turns out, the smart port was the issue. In the end, I believe I had issues with both the SHP2 as well as the DPU inverter. Everything on my original inverter worked, I tested 120V on each of the 20A AC outlets, 240V on the 30A outlet, and the USB ports also worked. I was able to discharge all 3 batteries and was even able to charge all 3 batteries through the SHP2 at 7200W input. I just couldn't cut over to battery power, which was the whole point to getting this system.
PS: EcoFlow uses FedEx, and almost all the boxes I received were in rough shape. Ecoflow has good packing, but the extremely rough handling from FedEx is still a concern.
TLDR: Ecoflow took 5 months to resolve a defective Smart Home Panel 2 and inverter. Be prepared to send lots of evidence (pictures and videos) and at least 1 day per response. If I had to do again, I wouldn't get the SHP2. Just install an interlock kit with a generator inlet.
long way to go to get to a real slickdeal price. i paid $2799 at home depot for the dp w/1 battery and then a year later $1599 for 2nd battery also at hd. that's $6300 w/tax (for this costco pkg) if i had chose to get a 3rd battery. be patient, it will drop.

Any benefits buying using a credit card? Have you guys gone through any credit card benefits like extended warranty etc for battery backups - are these even eligible for such benefits ? I can open new credit card if necessary.

I have 8.8kw solar panels system, if I buy this with smart panel, I need an electrician to put the switch or the panel contains the switch?

The 2799 DPU+1 depot deal was ridiculous deal and a confirmed price mistake
agree price could drop (but with tariffs who knows) but wouldn't expect that low anytime soon

I really wanted to go with this setup about six months ago but read about many issues with their smart home panel 2, so I went with two Anker Solix F3800 and their home power panel. (I still want to add two more batteries) So far, so good.

Most of these batteries come from China. Lithium-ion battery pricing has been dropping rapidly, but so have US tariffs been rising. Biden increased lithium-ion section 301 tariffs on batteries from 7.5% to 25% beginning January 2026. The current Trump tariffs tack on another 145%. Sure, the Trump tariffs will go down, but the section 301 tariffs are Trump's original tariffs from 8 years ago. There's also a global 3.4% lithium-ion battery tariff that stacks.

So it might be a few years until these tariffs start to shake out. I don't believe the section 301 tariffs will disappear at all.

Your experience backs up my decision to go with the Anker Solix F3800 with their home power panel. There was a problem with the home power panel during installation and Anker sent a replacement in a few weeks without a hassle.
