Knowing my cat, the poop would've already been smeared on the walls - I swear that little jerk shat against the edge of his litter box on purpose.

Not the reason I had to put him down, but it eased some the sadness.

Someone explain the advantage of this over a cardboard box, please? Litter isn't this expensive

I would line the inside with a trash bag before putting in the litter to keep the walls clean or like holmes mentioned above, just use a throwaway cardboard box.
