I read the reviews and the most important part is that the window width MUST be 25" or larger or the supporting brackets will not fit in the window to hold the unit as intended. Apparently this most BASIC info was not included on the box, but does appear in the instructions inside the box. I hope this info will save you time and effort as it did me.
I wonder how good this is compared to the Midea 8k. The midea 8k U is so quiet when it's on the lowest cooling demand, I love it.
Just installed the unit on a just shy of 22" window frame, works great and it's very quiet.
Had to shortened one of the extensions that screws on the window frame in order to secure the ac bracket.

I'd get the 12k midea ushape for 279.99 first.
they are inverter so its not always putting out 12k
it goes below 3k btu output when it "slows" down.

This looks like a midea ushape had a baby with a standard ac.. and hisense eh.. not a brand name to impress although I have their U8H in 65" and its a great tv.

Note this requires a 25" window width for the bracket.

It really depends on your room size, I put a 12k but in a 275ft room and the humidity kept increasing and it never felt cold, just cool. Then I got the midea 8k and it got colder with lower humidity. Also running 8k requires lower wattage - mine chills at 120-150watts and dips to 80s watt at night. I'm guessing this Hisense is most probably made by midea.

In my emails with Midea about this, using their 12K in my room that is currently serviced perfectly by a 4K standard window unit, they said while it can "slow down" to that level, they don't recommend it, and said the 8K would be the better match for that room size.

I think the Hisense one has a "quiet" model and the costco webpage video showed that it could down to 37 db which is better than Media. I just bought Media last week, and I consider to change it to this new one.

I would take this thought into consideration with AC units now. Midea set a new standard for window AC units. So you're going to see more different versions of the split units hit the market. They probably all use the same technology as the Midea. So performance is going to be similar. I would give this hisense a shot because Costco return policy, and typically Costco requires that manufactures provide a solid product to exceed industry standard if they are going to sell at Costco. Costco isn't going to sell junk with their return policies. I would pull the trigger if you're on the fence

Just to clarify you're talking about minimum 25" wide
