Which is way too expensive. I have 2 of the Mc ergo and they are crap quality, the coating is peeling after less than a year. I can't believe I paid $100 for those.
While Logitechs trackball mouse is probably the best out there, it's just not built with quality and longevity in mind. Do they expect people to just use these like few hours a day?
I am buying this for my couch as extra.

Ugh $6 delivery kills the deal. I forgot about that.
Isn't that due to crud buildup inside the cavity where the ball rolls? We used to have these and the old Microsoft version at my previous employer and being the IT grunt, I'd have to clean out the nasty buildup under the ball. Gross job, but it paid the bills.

Logitech made their mouse for planned obsolescence. Every Logitech wireless trackball mouse I've had will develop button click issues within a year.

Buy a couple of you like the price and keep it for the future when the first one goes bad.

to be clear, there is the MX Ergo S, MX Ergo, and the M575S. 3 separate models at 3 different price tiers.

I've had the M575 for 2 years 3 months without any button issues. I do have an issue where the battery has to be reseated for it to work but it will be fine for a while before happing again

It is not a difficult soldering job to replace the switches with Japanese Omron switches from Amazon. I did that on a M570 over 5 years ago and the replacement switches work great.

Have to agree, I'm on my second MX Ergo because of double click problems and this one is starting to show signs of doing the same. I love trackballs and I used to love Logitech but now I'm wondering if there's something better out there. If my soldering skills were better for these tiny switches I would solder in better quality ones.

That's what Logitech needs to do.
That soldering job shouldn't be left to the consumer, and shouldn't even be an expectation.

See my response above.
If there are better button switches available out there, then Logitech needs to use them and not the customers.

Beware this is using Bolt adapter, which is reason it has "S" in the name.
If you already use Bolt supported keyboard, then it's great; but if you using old unifying adapter, then you either using bluetooth or insert two adapters at the same time to use both keyboard and trackball.

I have the 575 not the 575s...I think the only difference is they made the button clicks quieter..

I use it with bluetooth on my laptop and the wireless usb on my desktop with my logi keyboard and it switches perfectly. Just press the button on the bottom

I've never had a problem with peeling or the finish coming off. I've used their trackmans for over 20 years. Basically the same design

EDIT--Apparently this uses a new type of wireless usb. The 575 uses the unifying USB receiver..My logi keyboard works with the unifying usb so it works out great using the trackman on my desktop

I have an older version of this mouse. The only reason buying this has a bluetooth support. Older ones have to be connected using USB-A. I use this on my Mac mini m4 and m1. I dont even enough space for USB-A
