Features: - Ergonomic comfort design, relaxed hand, and arm: The comfortable, sculpted ergonomic shape of this mouse naturally fits your hand
- Convenient controls: Moving between documents or browsing your favorite websites is a breeze with the ergonomic mouse's large, easy-reach back and forward buttons and the precision scroll wheel
- Mouse design includes sculpted post-consumer recycled plastic: It uses 50% for the black and 21% for the off-white; also uses FSC-certified paper for responsible packaging
- Up to 24 months of use from a single AA battery with the USB receiver; you may even forget your Logitech wireless trackball uses batteries at all

- Two ways to connect and multi-OS: Connect simply with Bluetooth or the USB receiver and never worry about drop-offs or lag up to a 10m (33 ft) range
- Smooth thumb control: Track precisely with great cursor control on any surface and easy thumb-operated trackball and adjust the cursor speed with Logitech Options software

While Logitechs trackball mouse is probably the best out there, it's just not built with quality and longevity in mind. Do they expect people to just use these like few hours a day?
I am buying this for my couch as extra.
Ugh $6 delivery kills the deal. I forgot about that.

Buy a couple of you like the price and keep it for the future when the first one goes bad.

That's what Logitech needs to do.
That soldering job shouldn't be left to the consumer, and shouldn't even be an expectation.
See my response above.
If there are better button switches available out there, then Logitech needs to use them and not the customers.
If you already use Bolt supported keyboard, then it's great; but if you using old unifying adapter, then you either using bluetooth or insert two adapters at the same time to use both keyboard and trackball.

I use it with bluetooth on my laptop and the wireless usb on my desktop with my logi keyboard and it switches perfectly. Just press the button on the bottom
I've never had a problem with peeling or the finish coming off. I've used their trackmans for over 20 years. Basically the same design
EDIT--Apparently this uses a new type of wireless usb. The 575 uses the unifying USB receiver..My logi keyboard works with the unifying usb so it works out great using the trackman on my desktop
