After using air fryer for maybe at least 5 plus years, finally getting proper utensils. Usually I just use a folded paper towel to pick up trays and carefully reach in with bare hand lol. Also small spatula will be useful for small portions of pancake batter and scraping sides of ice cream pints for ninja creami

Sure why not. Always good to have some extra around and pretty solid reviews.

Soapy taste? If your silicone utensils are washed in the dishwasher you'll notice a soap taste on your eggs and other delicate foods. Found that soaking them in baking soda would get the silicone to release the soap. Now I just handwash and rinse my silicon tools and don't have that problem. https://www.foodnetwork.com/healt...-like-soap

from Reddit: "Silicone is a plastic. Most of the plastics you are used to are called thermoplastic. These melt at higher temperatures and be molded into different shapes before cooling. They are recyclable.
Thermosets, like silicone, are naturally softer and less brittle. They do not need plasticizers like BPA to avoid being too hard/brittle."

From Grok: Silicone is not a plastic. It's a synthetic polymer made from silicon, oxygen, carbon, and hydrogen, with a flexible, rubber-like structure. Plastics are typically made from carbon-based polymers like polyethylene or polystyrene and are often more rigid. Silicone's unique chemical makeup gives it distinct properties, like heat resistance and elasticity, setting it apart from plastics.
Silicone utensils are generally BPA-free.
Bisphenol A (BPA) is a chemical found in some plastics, like polycarbonate, but silicone is a distinct material made from silicon, oxygen, carbon, and hydrogen.
High-quality, food-grade silicone does not contain BPA or similar chemicals like phthalates.
