I am feeling it looks like it works that way after I load my uber account with gift card...
It was BOGO.. $18. I did pickup to save on fees/tip.
But when I got to the store, the price was only $12 if I ordered there.
So basically they raised the prices 50% for their 3 BOGO items.
The rest of the items listed on UE was 20% more than ordering directly at the store.
So did UE raise prices such that you Basically break even with the 25% off gift card?
Or did the store raise prices on UE?
Stores raise their prices to offset the middleman fee that Uber charges.
So a store may charge $11.99 for something normally but maybe tack on a 25% fee to that same item in app and charge $14.99 for it, plus fees, plus tip, etc.
Again it's not always gonna be beneficial, but if that same item had an Uber Eats Buy 1 Get 1 special and in store doesn't . . U still come out on top.

I've never noticed this but I don't Uber often. I am 100% certain Uber Eats restaurant prices don't change based on what's in your gift card balance. The only questionable thing is do they base your promotions on what's in your account. I personally don't think so but some swear they do.
I noticed this because in the past. The Uber always show similar price with Lyft for me. Now it's higher around 20-30% most time for me (comparing with Lyft)

Reordering the BOGO from last week.
But now it's $1 more.
So besides it being $12 in store and they're charging $18 (50% increase) for BOGO last time, it's now $19.
I loaded a coupon but find out it doesn't apply to discounted food.
I'm assuming it's the restaurant that programmed their UE acct to raise price for re-orders?
And not UE adding a $1 because I accepted their coupon?
