Asics wide 2E = Standard D of other American brands.

No wides available
My last pair of nimbus fell apart in under four months. Outsole (bottom tread) was fine, but the insides tore up. Emailed Asics about the warranty and they said my shoes were not tied tightly enough. Emailed them back and said I have been running for decades and the shoes were tied tightly. They emailed back and said the insides ripped because the shoes were tied too right. YMMV
You should probably see a doctor for that, but be glad it's amber/yellow and not blood red

I am assuming you don't run with carbon plated shoes? I've tried one run going back to non plated carbon shoes like cumulus 26 and it was more work for legs and no energy return but it does build stronger legs/foot.
I have two pairs of supershoes with plates. I run in them a few times per month. I'm over 40 and I'm not built like a runner, so really just trying to maintain general cardio shape without injuries, the Nimbus is personally the best shoe for me for that. I only do ~4 races from 5k to a half annually, and will use the carbon plates to pick up the pace, but 80% of my runs are in the Nimbus. I mix in some Brooks Ghost Max, Saucony Endorphin Pro 2s, and Superblasts right now.

I have wide feet and Asics are the only brand of running shoe that consistently fits me well across their whole line of products. Never bought their 2Es.I have a pair of Gel Nimbus 25s and they are by far the most comfortable running shoes I've ever worn.I really think it's more about finding what fits your specific foot.
Yup, have the nimbus for years with several styles per model, and 25 is the best so far, i have more than 20 nimbus
