  • Book It! is a reading incentive program created by Pizza Hut in 1984. Empower teachers and parents to motivate their students to read by providing digital Reading Award Certifies, good for a free, one-topping Personal Pan Pizza from Pizza Hut. This program is free to schools and parents homeschooling their own children
Who is Eligible to Participate
  • Teachers are accredited public, private, and charger schools who teach English Language Arts curriculum for PreK-6th grade students (ages 4-12), and enroll individually for their classroom using their school issued email
  • Students may only participate through their primary classroom teacher and may only earn one certificate per month
  • Parents homeschooling their own children may enroll in the Book It! homeschool program
  • *PreK requirements: School must be accredited and have an approved PreK curriculum. Eligible students must be age 4 by September 1st

book it still around? I remember something about it being 1990 and going to pizza hut to get a sticker put on a holographic pin. Also ninja turtles, we had ninja turtles back then.

Last year, my local PH couldn't figure out how to redeem the codes from my email, even though they clearly said that was allowed. The guy let me take the pizzas, and I agreed to bring him paper printouts of the emails next time I was in the area, which I did. PH employees seem to be poorly trained when it comes to this program. YMMV.

The Pizza Huts in my area, and especially the one in my town are so nasty and mismanaged that I wouldn't want to eat there if they paid me to come in.

Sounds like great idea but in my area the Pizza Hut doesn't have any seats. The employees there could probably use a bookit program for their reading comprehension. Anyway, homeschooling probably didn't help.
