One of the review said it was at $699 5 months ago get now and pull trigger or wait if it goes down to that again….hmm what to do what to do
If you look at the bottom of that review... the $699 price is for the 65".

If it wasn't for the ADS Pro panel on the 75" U7 and U8 I would be on it. Now I'm staring at the 77" LG B4 on LG Partner Store. Hard to decide if I should pull the trigger or wait!

I got this right around NYE as my previous 75in Vizion crapped out (lasted almost 10 years), I will say this is a great TV for the money, use this in my living room that gets a good amount of sunlight and am able to see the picture clearly even on sunny days

Consider an OLED like the B4 too.
I've thought about it. If it was for me I'd def go with OLED. Its a birthday present for my 90 year old father. He watches TV 24 hours a day. Sleeps with the TV on and falls asleep on the couch most nights. I sometimes see images paused for hours at a time. Watches a lot of news with the same image of the bottom or side for long periods of a time. I know Oleds have gotten better and there are screen savors but I'm still slightly worried about burn in. He won't use good habbits to minimize chance of burn in.
Also my dad really doesn't care about video quality and audio. He'd be happy with his 7 year old $300 55" Hisense that I got from Costco. This is a nice jump up from a basic tv without going to Oled pricing. A 77" LG b4 I'm assuming on sale is still around 1300-1400.

Everyone has different needs. I would never buy a VA panel for a living room. It would either have to be and ADS Pro or upgrade to Oled. Poor viewing angle is a greater negative to me than poor black levels in a living room. Bedroom no problem going VA panel. OLED great for any scenario just have to be will to pay Oled prices.

So is this about the best deal one would expect to see in the next 3-5 months for a 70"-75" TV with a great quality picture? Not looking at the most basic displays.

I'd love an OLED but it seems those are 2x the price.

Yeah for that usage the ADS LCD is a safe bet. Plus the GTV operating system may be a little easier/better for him. Good call.

I've had this TV for a year (or maybe the same from last year). Great picture for the money. I'm very happy with it.

Got busy and didn't get a chance to try to order it till 10:45 pm EST. It shows $850 when I do a search for Hisense TV's , however when I click on the item it shows a price of $899 and same when I add to cart. Guess I missed it even though its not the end of the 8/4 for another hour.
