I must be having a nightmare. $30 for a lousy 17.6 pounds of lump charcoal???????????????????

OMG, they stick 'super premium' in the title and you think it's worth the price!!!??? IT'S LUMP CHARCOAL, PEOPLE!!!

It won't cure cancer, it won't cause the beanstalks to grow huge and it sure as heck isn't remotely worth this price, especially
at a whopping NICE PERCENT OFF!!!

Back in the dark days of 2008-2009 I saw the inflation coming and since I have a large basement downstairs I bought a LOT of charcoal briquettes and lump charcoal after finding out they will last forever in a cool and dry basement. I paid $3.99 for 20 lb bags of Kingsford charcoal on sale and stacked up over 30 bags. And what does it cost now at the store?

As recently as January 16, 2024, I paid $9.98 for 17.8 pound bags (20 bags in total) of Myron Mixon Premium 100% All Natural Lump Charcoal Oak Wood Chunks from Home Depot (I can prove this, I have the receipt) and it's great! Why that was 17.6 pounds and this deal is the same is beyond me but if you're going to pay $30 for the same weight you're making the wrong decision - don't do this. It's far too expensive.

Update - I found the Slick Deals deal for the Myron Mixon lump charcoal deal at Home Depot posted on Jan 14, 2024, with the cost exactly as I said. And not only that but Home Depot delivered the 20 bags to me for FREE - this deal requires you to pick it up yourself at Ace Hardware. https://slickdeals.net/f/17232388-17-6-lbs-myron-mixon-premium-100-all-natural-lump-charcoal-oak-wood-chunks-9-98-free-shipping?src=SDSearchv3&attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3ATrue%7CSearch%3AType%3Anormal%7CSearch%3ASort%3Arelevance%7CSearch%3AHideExpired%3Afalse

It's simply charcoal. It isn't going to make the food you're grilling taste unbelievable - it won't. It's fuel. Use real wood chunks/chips to flavor your food and don't worry about overpriced crap like this.

I use the $5 off coupons at Ace to get Fogo black bags for $15, not sure this is worth it.
