From what I can tell, this is the lowest it's ever been with the almost everyday price being ~$576 and the previous low around $464 in February (at least on Amazon)
Don't use USB-C unless you have to. DP and HDMI are much more reliable for display purposes. Queue all the people who don't work in the industry blathering on about how it works for them.
most laptops only come with USB-C ALT DP mode.
and i have yet to find any issues with USB-C DP mode as long as you use the correct USB C cables that is capable of doing DP mode (cable that came with your monitor are all able to do it)

I've been a computer engineer for over a decade and USB-C w/ PD is 100x better if using this with a Mac

I have USB-C from my Chromebook (charging it) to a QHD monitor and I have it DP daisy-chained to a second DP monitor. It works every time, all the time. But do go on about how it's so awful.
The only caveat is that you need a cable that has the RX2 and TX2 USB-C lines. I use a Treedix USB Cable Tester Board to sort my cables, but you can just look at the product description and look for 20Gbps bandwidth or more, or look for "4k" 60hz (this monitor) or 120hz video compatibility. There are plenty to choose from.

I wouldnt buy an ASUS monitor. From my experience these monitors blow out pretty easily.
These monitors give out pretty easily. I would avoid Asus Monitors. Go with a company that specializes in monitors not hardware.
Still using my 2K PA279Q. I bought it used back in 2015 and it's still kicking. I think about upgrading every year but it's hard to justify when this one still works

It's gonna be a sad Black Friday as retailers have excuses to raise prices.
They can't blame greed on inflation so now they will blame tariffs lol
What's a tariff?
