If you live near a Menards they have a Corona brand of something similar on sale for $3.36 ($3 after rebate) I got a couple of them and the quality seems solid.

I got these for my wife as a gift a while back as she loves this brand and loves to garden.

The last month or so I have used them over and over again as I was building a solar panel setup and these made the best zip tie cutters lol, so precise that it made it easy to cut the zip tie perfectly without cutting the wire.

Better than my purpose built small cutters, so at this price I am getting a pair for the garge lol.

This model is very hard to use. After a while you can't cut anything with it.

I use these as tiny craft scissors. I don't actually have any herbs to prune, but they're very sharp and comfortable to use.

These are great! I use them for deadheading my perennial flowers. I've had them for years and my only complaint is that the lock doesn't always work well. I would definitely buy them again (but I might check out the Corona ones from Menards another person mentioned).

FYI plastic locking mechanism is prone to breaking.

Amazon has matched Target in price, where you can also get the Fiskars Soil Scoop for $3.59. At most other stores, it costs about $5.
  • Fiskars Soil Scoop is perfectly sized for transferring soil into medium-sized planters on patios, balconies and indoors
  • Made of durable, lightweight resin with 20% post-consumer recycled plastic
  • Flat bottom keeps scoop from tipping from side to side when set on a flat surface. Deep sides maximize capacity and prevent spills
  • This Soil Scooper is ideal for all potting, repotting, transplanting and all other indoor gardening needs
  • Holds approximately 1.5 cups of loosely packed soil, Lifetime Warranty

Thanks! Easier for me to pick up at Target, so this was very helpful. Got the snips and the scoop.

These are great for occasional use - not sure how they'd hold up if you're pruning all day, but very happy with mine.

I have a few pairs of these and they do not impress. If you are going to use your shears a lot, then consider upgrading to the scissor style pruning shears. I have the loopseed brand and love them, but this vivosun appears to be a clone for only $3 more right now.
