Product Details:
  • Rapid Printing: The Creality K1 3D printer is built for speed, reaching up to 600mm/s and 20000mm/s² Acceleration. Reaching 200℃ in just 40 seconds. That's 12 times faster than regular Fused Deposition Modeling 3D printers. Perfect for professionals and beginners
  • Effortless Auto-Leveling: Achieve perfect prints effortlessly with one-tap auto-leveling and dual cooling systems. The Creality K1's innovative design, including a large drum fan and simulated wind tunnel, ensures accurate leveling. An 18W turbofan allows unsupported printing of complex structures

CoreXY structure, along with an auxiliary cooling fan, adds stability and vibration resistance even at high speeds. Z-axis control reduces layer lines for smoother 0.1mm detailed prints
  • Connected and Carefree Control: Creality K1 can print via USB drive or WiFi. Creality K1 can be controlled or monitored* remotely from Creality Print or Creality Cloud APP/WEB. Also allowed when many K1 printers are online. Once the printing is complete or abnormal, a notice will be sent to your phone or PC.

I honestly don't trust any tuber reviewing 3d printers other than aurora https://youtu.be/gkV3OiQs1sQ

Looks like she liked it other than some minor print quality issues that have likely been smoothed out by software, or can be helped by lowering print speed

Really tempted to get this over the ff ad5
You don't need a PC to run this printer. All tasks can be done local on the printer and/or from the phone/tablet app. If you're using iOS then you can try playing with the app for free even without a printer. You can upload your own prints and send prints via cloud thru the app as well.

Now you got me excited lol. 2 more months to go. I should be getting mine by the end of June. Do you have one? Did they ship on time.
They've been shipping early. I was in the batch for May 31 shipment and I got mine 2 weeks ago. Number of people in the June window starting to get theirs already.

What if I'm ok with the later ship times? Looking for the best first 3D printer as an introduction into the hobby.

Carbon has had very good reviews but it's still early in its life, a lot more info about the k1 is out there with issues but also solutions as others have mentioned with the extruder. I'm personally leaning towards this because I'd rather keep the $100 and have it now, and don't need any of the extras the centauri carbon has, but if this deal hadn't popped up I was thinking of just getting the carbon and waiting for it

Does it have a way to slice locally? I would hate for it to stop working because the cloud service ended. EXAMPLE: Google Nest RIP. I may never buy a smart thermostat again.

Yes you can slice with creality slicer or orca slicer on pc. I like orca slicer personally for my k1

How easy is this to use without a PC? Not looking to create models, just to print existing files from an iPad.
No need PC, the App can do majority of tasks. Just note on App, free member can only slice 1 model on a plate, adding multiple model on plate you need that paid membership. The desktop software has no limit. I use creality and cura.

Yeah you are 3rd batch. It looks like they are shipping earlier than expected. That's cool.

Looking to get a 3d printer, is this a good 1st printer? I was looking at Bambu, but there almost $180 more than a couple months ago.

Yeah, regretting not jumping on the $200 A1 Mini deals back around BF/Xmas.

No, the one the person you're replying to was responding about. The Centauri Carbon.

If it were new, yes. As a refurb, I'm a bit worried about getting a basket case vs a printer that has been really checked over properly. If you get a good one then yes.
