I was thinking, what if I pair this same all-in-one inverter with the 12V 300Ah batteries to see if that setup would be cheaper? The Eco-Worthy 12V 300Ah batteries are about $425 each, which seemed promising. But then I checked the price of the inverter, and it's around $900. Yikes. So this deal is very slick if that is the true price of the inverter.

Depends, you certainly could.

however you'd need to wire some sort of transfer switch system. ats and Victron both make something that will transfer from line to generator. some of these inverters have dry contact that can be used to trigger an autostart on a genrator

Thank you! Was thinking since my generator doesn't have an inverter, this might be a good junction box to supply both generator + solar

This is really a fantastic deal especially in this age of tariffs.
The battery itself is $850 but pre tariffs it was still $800.
At $800, it makes the solar inverter $300 and that's dirt cheap.
Eco W is selling the inverter $600-$700.
Only reason I can't jump on this is the solar inverter needs a minimum of 120v solar for it to work.
If you have residential panels, you need like 3-4 panels in series to get it pass 120v.
If you have smaller panels, you need at least 6 in series and I have several smaller arrays instead of a big one.

It's a 48v inverter, won't work with 12v batteries unless you put 4 in series, but that would cost more just for those batteries than this deal.

Yup. I need the minimum PV to be lower on these AIO inverters for the RV. That would be amazing.

I own the inverter and four 280ah 12v. The batteries were around $350/ea and the inverter around $750. Would like to double both the inverter and batteries for 240v with more storage in the future. But for now, it's working great in the garage. They run deals all the time on eBay for the inverter and batteries.I got in on the two 280ah and inverter package and bought the other two separately.
