I bought these last year and was really happy with them. They were easy, cleaned automatically and kept the bowl fresh. Come last month I started to notice that my bowl was constantly refilling itself without being used. Turns out that these chlorine tabs obliterated my flap and ate away at it. I also noticed some deterioration on some of the other parts in the tank.
I just wanted people to be aware of the long term effects of these.
Same here. The superintendent of my apartment building warned me not to use these types of tablets anymore because of how harsh they are. He said that they had one leaking toilet after another in our building due to these products. Information from plumbing website:

"Chemicals to Avoid in Your Toilet Tank:

Chlorine Tablets: Chlorine tablets are commonly used to sanitize and disinfect toilet bowls. However, placing them directly in the tank can cause the rubber flapper to deteriorate rapidly. The chlorine's corrosive properties gradually weaken the rubber, resulting in a faulty flapper that may not seal properly, leading to water wastage and continuous refilling of the tank.
Bleach Tablets: Similar to chlorine tablets, bleach tablets can have a corrosive effect on rubber components. The continuous presence of bleach in the tank can weaken the flapper and other seals, leading to leaks and an inefficient flushing mechanism.
Blue Dye Tablets: Some toilet tank cleaning products contain blue dye intended to provide a fresh appearance to the water. However, these tablets often contain corrosive chemicals that can harm rubber parts. The prolonged exposure to these chemicals can cause the flapper to lose its elasticity, resulting in leaks and frequent toilet repairs."
Work great in the kaboom toilet system

Yup. At least they removed the blue dye here so it doesn't stain your toilet or worse your floor if it leaks outside. But these tablets do destroy the "guts" of your toilet.

Agree with this - I had these in my pervious home - two out of the three bathrooms these were in had all sorts of deterioration issues that the other bathroom didn't have. It's not worth the hassle, for me.

Do not use these. After dropping one in our toilet we needed to let our whole basement floor air out with windows and fans for a day. It was so strong it burned our eyes and lungs

I recommend using the efferdent tablets or cheaper store version of the same. (those things used for decalcifying dentures) you can put a couple straight into the bowl at night and do a quick scrub in the morning. The concept works like the chlorine tabs but without the tank damage from long term exposure.

I bought these once and ended up disposing of most of them. They're very strong and they don't breakdown very easily.

It honestly takes less time to scrub your bowl every now and again than to replace all the components in your tank that tablets corrode.

Bought this last month. The bleach smell is too strong giving me a headache and a sore throat and irritating my eyes and nose. Can't wait for the first tablet to fully dissolve. Will throw away the remaining eleven tablets.

Yes, as others mentioned these will destroy your toilet internal parts. A workaround is to use something like those old kaboom toilet cleaner system where there's a separate reservoir for the tablets. I've used these in the past without issues with my kaboom system. They clean great but that chlorine smell lingers everywhere you put them.

Definitely just get bromine spa tablets instead from Walmart or Lowe's. Same cleaning as chlorine but way less strong chemical smell. Been using these for years in the kaboom system.

There's probably 30 plus tablets

Use these tablets with a Kaboom, Happy Toilet Cleaner, KSEND cleaner, NeverScrub!, or other type of system.

These keep the chemicals out of the tank, and only dispense the product through the fill tube which puts water directly into the bowl via the overflow tube.

Also, I buy 1" bromine tablets which work the same, minus the harsh chlorine smell.

If I did my math right, this is a good deal for the 100pk... $0.47/oz vs similar size bromine tablets for $0.80/oz. I only go through 1 tablet a month, per toilet. I have about 3lbs of 1" tabs at home, so set for another year at least.
