Edit: The staff rewriting of my deal post for frontpage omits multiple other examples I list, please refer to my original deal post for other standout combos (such as 7800x3d cpu + b650m mobo + 32gb ddr5 ram + montech case + 128gb ssd + thermal paste for $472.28).

If you have any difficulties replicating these prices, please keep in mind that all items MUST be "sold and shipped" by newegg, and have the "Combo for an additional 15% off" banner in the pc builder. While you can still select backordered items in the builder, backordered items do NOT count towards the 4 item requirement. If an item is sold at a substantially lower price by a third party (such as the 2tb sn850x in the example combo), the pc builder defaults to the third party listing and doesn't appear to give an option to select the version sold by newegg. However, this can be worked around. If the items are part of a combo, you can go to the combo page and click the the "Build with it" or "Add to PC build list" button beneath the "add to cart button" to add those items to the pc builder tool. Alternatively, you can go to the individual items page, manually change the seller to newegg, and then click the the "Build with it" or "Add to PC build list" button.

It appears you need to add items from four different categories to qualify, adding additional items from a single category doesn't appear to work. For example, if you select two different qualifying ssds, you still need to select items from three other categories for the promotion to apply. Accessories don't appear to count towards the 4 item requirement at all. The maximum discount solely from the 15% promotion is $150 (this doesn't impact additional discounts, combo savings beyond $150 still apply). The promotion "Ends 5/6/25 at 11:59 P.M. PT. or until funds last." Usually newegg prevents promo codes from stacking with combo savings, so I believe this may be an oversight on their part. I wouldn't be surprised if newegg suddenly blocks this promotion from stacking with combos.

The examples in my deal post are just a couple off the top of my head, there are many more combinations which are viable. The cpu cooler and 128gb ssd I've used in my examples are simply the cheapest qualifying items.
Stupid staff rewrites messing up the original post 🤦 ♂️

Ooff... All I want is the 7800X3D. Don't need any of the other stuff. Good deal if you need a whole (or almost whole) new PC build.

what is the build from the original post , i just got here , and why did they change it .
It's here: https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=176936023&postcount=1

I guess the editors on slickdeals just limited it to a certain type of deal instead of the multiple ones that OP had done

I'd say so, the CPU itself is around $400, so getting everything else for another 80-90 bucks seems like a good deal to me

The ratings on that mobo are pretty low... Are there any real concerns with it or are the ratings just misleading?

I know it said in the write up that you have to add the thermal paste first. That's what I did and it worked, but maybe it's been changed now

I was just able to recreate the OP's main combo no problem (just have to use the builder BEFORE adding to cart) and it was $330 shipped after tax and state fees.
It was $297 before the taxes, shipping, fees etc. Thanks!

This +124 rated Front Page deal is down from $344 to $329 now:
AMD Ryzen 5 9600X + GIGABYTE B650M mATX + 32GB Corsair DDR5 + 500GB Patriot M.2 SSD $344 + Free Ship...

You can add a Cooler Master Elite 301 Micro-ATX Case [newegg.com] to it and a Thermaltake 600W PSU [newegg.com] and have it all for $356. This gives you a complete build.

I feel that it deserves a thread of its own, but I am not sure what the rules / sentiment is on posting a spinoof thread off of an existing deal.

Thanks for posting, good timing as I needed a lot of components for a new build.
Got the 7800x3d, ASRock x870 steel legend mobo (with free corsair RAM), WD SN850X 2 TB SSD, Barracuda 4 TB HDD, Super Flower 1000w PSU (with free case) for ~970. Keeps some room for future proofing and leaves a budget for GPU.

So heres my build: https://newegg.io/32ee55f

States the total cost is $411, but when i Add to Cart, it jumps up to $700. Any ideas whats going on here?

Edit: Opened that link in incognito and its showing the appropriate price in cart. Weird.

You need to add these items via the BUILDER thing newegg has, you can't just add them to your cart. Delete all those from your cart, then Use OP's main link again and make sure you choose everything while using the BUILDER feature. Thats most likely whats happening to you. Its annoying, I know, but don't bring everything into your cart until you chose everything you need in the BUILDER.
