Good to see prices finally dropping. Should be $1800 by next year this time.

meh... got my g4 77" cheaper than this 8 months ago
Mind sharing how you got it or what to look out for? I'm trying to get an 83 G5 without paying an arm and a leg.

Partner store, through my employer, plus additional 10% off, plus 2% back on credit card and like $80 rewards from my employer. At that time it came with a soundbar/sound system which still sells for $700-$800. Usually have to wait around 4-6 months after release for them to discount the tv a decent amount. Got my deal in August 2024, $2700 plus tax for the G4 77" plus the sound bar system which was msrping for $900, not counting the 2% and $80 in rewards. If you wait a bit longer, you can probably save a few hundred more. Also, you can try using Capital One Shopping rewards to get $250 gift card. 83" is still going to be pricey but worth it imo. I wish I would have gone 83" but I guess it gives me something to upgrade to in a few years.

I pulled the trigger on a G4. I know G5 is the bees-knees now, but I'm concerned TVs might be specifically targeted for tariffs. Even 10% would be a big jump and less big sales.

I'd be happy for the C4 77 to go to $2,000 at Best Buy.

The C4 77 inch TV was partner store priced at $1620 a couple of weeks ago, and came with a nice LG 3.1.1 soundbar. A very sweet deal.

Why are the OLEDs so tiny at 77" and 83" when we have mini-LEDs at 98", 100", 120" ?
Believe it has to do with cutting the glass at those sizes, actually.

You *can* get a 98-inch G5 OLED, but it's $25,000...

He also said, "Good to see prices finally dropping," as if this has been out for a while. Unless he meant OLED, in general, but that should have been specified.
