Decent deal for Lyft. Stack with a Chase Freedom for ~5% additional off your purchase, i.e., buy a $100 e-gift card for $85 and get 425 URs = at least $6 in value.

How do you get 5.6%? Or did you mean 5.25%?

Pro-tip for costco members who uses a lot of uber, you can buy more giftcards in-store if you've met the limit online.

Be warned, worst customer service if your order has a problem. No refunds!

the indian customer service really ruined it. they speak broken english and will just shut chat down if you contest them.
last time i placed a pick u[ order, the incompetent workers at wingstop forgot to include + tenders that I added. uber indians said they "comped me" by giving me the price of the tenders. I don't think they understand what "comp" means. i got my money back for an item I never got. that's not "comping" someone who wasted their time and gas only to come back home to find part of the order is missing.

Doordash is much better. The costs on Uber Eats keep going up. Some of the service fees are way too high even with a Uber One membership and getting over the $15 minimum. It is difficult to find anything close to a decent deal these days.
I had a day I was very occupied and I made a quick order on Uber Eats from KFC assuming it would come to my front door like it has 99.99% of the time when I've order from UE, DD or Grubhub. Well this time Uber Eats pinned some random location that I've never been to and the order was being delivered there. It would not allow me to change the address and getting in contact with support with the website was quite difficult so I cancelled the order and lost the full cost of the food and tip. I ended up saving a few dollars by cancelling . I finally got a hold of a support person that wasn't a automated chat bot after 4-5 tries and she told me something like "yeah that happens sometime with locations that are not your home address being pinned at the top to be delivered to." WTF. Obviously I got no refund. I'm so done with Uber Eats after I use my gift cards up. I do not need rides anymore either from Uber so the company is useless to me. If I ever want food delivered I'm only using DD. Many times Uber Eats has never refunded me a dime when something is wrong. What a terrible company.

At least you spoke with a human. More than half of the time I get a bot and they shut the chat down too.

I had a restaurant accept my order and then never deliver. They said they were out of whatever it was. But because they accepted, UberEats CS refused to refund. I had to do a chargeback. I certainly wouldn't wanted to have used a gift card.
