Codes dont work for these 2.Hmm they seem to be working for me. Anyone else having this issue?
Just buy it and if you dont like it return it. I bought two just now on an old nissan where plastics are so cheap on the air conditioning vent it broke off a conventional one when drove off of a small bump on a freeway entrance ramp and trying this out. 😆😆😆
Just be careful when the 80 lbs weight falls.
I drive a lot of rentals for work and it's hard to find a mount that fits lots of different cars. In a very hot climate and haven't had much luck with window suction mounts, not to mention the phone overheating in the sun.
I bought a MagSafe mount that'll go on the 17mm ball head instead of using the big cradle/clamp thing.
Right now I'm in a rented Elantra. This stuck to the faux leather dash quite well. I wouldn't hang 80lbs on it but it's solid. Can move the arm/phone around without a problem. A couple of times when adjusting, the motor in the base kicked on. There's a little rubber pressure sensor in the center of the suction cup that triggers the motor when it's not flush enough to the surface it's mounted on. Has a sort of sticky substance around the suction cup to help it seal.
Will be interesting to see how it holds up in the heat, how long does the battery actually last, can I wipe the sticky part clean and get the stickiness back when it inevitably gets dirty because I'll be switching it to new cars often.
So far, seems like a pretty nifty device.
EDIT: drove a few hours with it today. Sunny and highs in the 80s. Held up iPhone 16 w/ MagBak case no problems. A little bouncy due to the long arm but not bad. Motor came on a few times briefly when I pried the phone off the MagSafe attachment I installed, or hit some large bumps in the road.

I did like the phone mount cradle. It held my phone tight, but was still very easy to remove with the one-button release.
One tip, tighten the o-ring around the ball joint. If you don't, the arm and mount holding your phone will sag and your phone will look sad resting on your dash.
