This is actually pretty cheap for a prime lens, right? Sorry, still getting into this hobby

$400 for a 50mm 2.8, good iq at 5.6, why bother? The g9ii combo was $1100 for some reason. Sigma 30mm 1.4 on a6700 is way better than this with a mft camera in every possible way. People here also got cheap nikon zf recently. Paired zf with 50mm f1.8 is little bit larger and 200g heavier than G9ii with this lens.

It's an okay price, but you can get this lens for ~$250-300 used. This is also a Micro Four Thirds lens.

I'd opt for the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 from a price value perspective. The only scenario where that opinion changes is that if for some reason, you absolutely need the lens to have a smaller form factor.

Just got the 20mm 1.7, love the size for travel, quality is not bad. Not sure how much this better, but I don't like the size for travel

Still salty on not able to snag a deal after this many months? 30mm APS-C is 45mm equivalent, selling at a starting price 1399 pretty much tell everybody what it is.

How do you know what did I score?
That $1399 is blatant LEICA labeled stupidity tax on white supremacist . Smaller lens are easier to make. 45mm and 50mm or even 55mm aren't too different to most people. 55mm zeiss was always compared with 50mm lenses, even though it is easier to have better IQ on 55mm than 50mm and everyone was like ZEISS coating(label) has magic in it.
