That version is the same except having aluminum bezel border. That's it. I have the pro version, I much prefer the bezel for aesthetics and feel. They both perform the exact same

Usually not. There's some people that have claimed they had Amazon PM a w00t deal on here before, but I have a feeling they're telling stories (and no one else could get Amazon to PM the same deal).

The aluminum one only comes with brown switches. Looks like the other one comes with multiple so you can try all of them

Yes, if you mean switching devices; the K series supports wired and wireless functionality, via Bluetooth. You should be able to switch between 3 different Bluetooth devices saved by pressing Fn + 1/2/3 while in Bluetooth mode.

Alternatively, the K Max series also offers a 2.4 GHz dongle, in addition to Bluetooth and wired options.

No, pre-installed keys are only selected one type of keys out of red, brown and blue. Usually there is an option to select one of three before you buy on Keychron website or Amazon. They dont provide the other types of keys for free as a default. The aluminum version on woot clearly says brown keys, but the non aluminum version doesn't say it. Maybe brown or blue would be randomly chosen.
The aluminum frame is actually additional 4 aluminun frames installed on the ABS plastic version of RGB hot swapable version. You can remove the frames from it. It is a kind of additional accessory for the ABS RGB hot swapable version.

Is there a way to switch between Mac and windows PCs and change behavior accordingly? If so, do we need to manually toggle a separate dedicated switch (Mac/Win) each time (in addition to Function 1/2/3 to swap the computers), or is there a better way to do that? For e.g. can you program say Function 2 to be Mac behavior while Functions 1 & 3 automatically swap to windows behavior?

Keychron keyboards are Mac and Windows compatible and usually have a physical toggle switch. In fact, the Keychrons I've purchased default to Mac layout (with appropriate keycaps installed) when shipped.

Edit: Not entirely sure about the answer to the latter set of questions regarding functions programming, but Keychron has keymapping software, so I'm guess it's a yes.

That's as simple to solve as assigning function keys to another layer... get to know the product better

Edit: in fact you don't even have to, if you zoom in on the pictures there's already another layer preprogrammed for the f keys
