I'm very tempted but I'm not familiar with the brand. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have 3 onn TVs, 4 onn tablets, multiple BT headsets, random cables and accessories, and have yet to have an issue with any of them. Oldest tablet i think is from 2019, and still is usable (albeit slow) TVs have roku, worked with my sound bars, and I have been able to program them to my xfinity remote. Color and picture are good for what we use them for, which is cable and streaming. Havent tried gaming on any of them, so I cant comment on that. I have confidence in the brand (knowing its a budget house brand) and wouldnt hesitate purchasing more.

Most of the ONN TVs are made by tcl or Hisense. They vary by the size on who makes what but you can usually tell by the type of bezel it has. The top and sides I mean.

I think onn is a walmart brand. Maybe.

I got their 4k puck on all my TV. Cheapest streaming devices. Their old TV was very bad, but the newer ones are better. I think it is hit or miss depending on the model.

I would place the Onn TVs in the good enough club. They could be made by TCL, Hisense, Funai, or whatever. Go look at one in person to make sure you like the picture. It won't be the best, and compared to other TVs it might look worse. When you get it home you won't be looking at it side by side other TVs. One place they cheap out is backlight brightness. I don't ever buy the warranty because if there's a manufacturer defect it should show up within the return window. Roku is an okay streaming platform. I think it has an app you can use to control your tv as well as use it for private listening. Private listening would be good if you live in an apartment, and you want to watch an action movie late at night. Hope your phone has an aux input.

edit; while looking up the model number I saw the spec for brightness is 250nit which is a bit dim. For my monitors I like at least 400nit. I would just turn off HDR since it's not bright enough to properly display it. Here is a 2 year old YouTube review of this tv. At time 4:56 I was able to pause and zoom in on the sticker while watching it on my phone. It's the same model 100012586.

Does this allow video files to be played via USB storage?

I couldn't say for sure, but from my experience using my friend's TCL Roku TV that it is a bit picky with video formats. It plays some, some it doesn't play at all, and a couple would play but it didn't like the audio format. So no sound. The Onn 4k pro ($50) has a USB input, and android has been pretty good at playing everything I threw at it. You might could buy the $20 Onn 4k box, but then you would need a micro USB otg adapter for USB playback. I tried that with a cheap adapter and I couldn't get it to reliably work.

I wish there was no rokuuuuu on a tv set.. you give your life away in a TOS blurb when you set the thing up and if you refuse the tos? Brick.. Roku is in the selling your info bizz just like amerzon and koogle. I would prefer to buy a set with no os that could cause problems with its core functions.. it is a good price at a time when prices could change. Maybe if I never connect it to the internet I could avoid that possibility..

On a side note WM bought Visio, so maybe it is the last call on RO Koo ONN sets in their stores, as they are expected to expand Vizio os to their flavor.
