It's a destro design, which is intended for wearing on the right hand.
I also don't think I've come around the the "Pepsi" look, not sure what the fad is all about...
I just clicked through different models of the Fugu on Citizen's site and they're pretty much all on people's left hands in the model shots.
As mentioned above, it's to keep it from irritating your wrist when you bend your hand back. The 5 o'clock crowns on the "Prime" divers (BN0150, etc) is also designed to avoid this, just on the right side.
It's probably honestly also just to be different than Seiko and other competitors.
I really like my Citizen divers for the money. Probably have four or five of different models and colors. All ecodrives though.
It's always been this way. My eco drive is 6 years old and I paid way more than this.

I wear it is on left hand, and never had a problem. With that I wear Promaster Eco-drive and never have to touch the crown.
