My last pair of adidas shorts ripped in the butt before I could even wear them (wadded up stored in a light backpack), wonder if these are any better.

edit: doesnt matter for me medium is out of stock, but watch out for these lol

I think it's a 7 in.
Found some photos that matched it.

Many Amazon reviews say pockets are light duty and not strong enough to carry a phone

As someone else said, sold out of Medium so not for me. But I will say these seem like the ones that sell occasionally at Costco for around $12-14 I think. The pockets do wind up getting a bit of a hole in them over time, but for $12 . . . . not a bad deal. I've run several half marathons and a few marathons in them. I do carry my phone in the shorts. If you sprint then it will flop around a lot.

Note^^ my review above is based on the Costco version. Not 100% sure these are the same but they look like them.

These look just like some I have from a couple years back. My invoice says they were called "Designed for Movement" though. They were 7" inseam and have been good for running. I don't put much in the pockets so can't comment on the durability, but these are lightweight shorts.

Bought on ebay for around 7 dollars a few months ago. They are extremely cheap feeling and thin. The pockets are zippers which i like but putting a phone in them for a jog feels way less comfortable due to how it'll bounce around when compared to similar zippered shorts.
