Maybe you can help confirm, what would the value of this be if I wanted to sign up for a 1yr Nintendo switch online Membership and then upgrade to the + Expansion Pack.

Would it treat this as a $20 value towards that $49.99 expansion pack price?

They do have the family plan for the US priced at $33.68. If I needed the family plan, I would rather get this instead of upgrading.

This is directly from the Nintendo website: "The value of your discount is based on the number of remaining days in your Nintendo Switch Online Individual membership at a rate of $0.05 USD, $0.06 CAD, $1.31 MXN, $0.32 BRL, $63 ARS, $62 CLP, $292 COP, or $0.24 PEN per day."
