Didn't have to resort to that. MC has price protection policy so got my original purchase reduced by $100 via chat.
God bless that's a good deal.

There have been ton of Apple deals lately, but this is the best one I've seen in a long while for someone like myself wanting more than 256gb or 512gb of storage. Nice catch.

Have the m3 pro 18gb but been eyeing the M4 Pro Mac Mini 64gb for LLM. Anyone have any experience with the Mac mini m4 pro 64gb for LLMs? Just starting to learn so maybe I should just stick to my m3 pro 18gb for now?

I been checking on this one , but never had an experience with certified refurbished products. Any insight on support after purchase (in case of any issues) battery health will be much appreciated.

I bought one of these. At Micro Center, "Certified Refurbished" means the device was refurbished by Apple. They're eligible to enroll in AppleCare+ ($9.99/mo or $99.99/yr) in the System Settings app for 60 days after purchase.

The plain "Refurbished" ones are done by third parties and typically not eligible for AppleCare+.

Apple refurbs are essentially the same as a new machine- down to the retail box. My battery health was 103% capacity with 1 cycle.

One little thing- I had to call Apple to correct the purchase date because Micro Center's serial barcode had an additional letter in it. It took like 5 minutes- not a big deal.
