Is the big issue with M3 vs M4 (aside from slower processor) that M3 only supports 1 external monitor (while MacBook is open), while M4 supports 2 external monitors (so built in screen + two external screens at same time)?

M3 Air base is going for $699.99 at brand smart. $749.00 should be the regular price for base now ($100 less than M4 Air). $250-300 more for 8GB more RAM and 256GB more SSD is what you're giving Apple.

Isn't the base RAM at 8 GB? So you're getting 3x that amount in this deal, 24GB.

Two external monitors with the lid closed on the M3 (https://support.apple.com/en-us/117373)

I ordered the M4 a few days ago specifically for the ability to have dual external monitors.

For the M4, but it was 8 GB for the M3.

Not sure if you were talking about the M3 base RAM or the M4 base RAM when comparing.

I'm talking about right now, what you can get. Nobody touching the 8GB stock.

That's the m3 will support two monitors in clamshell and m4 with support two without the clam

Any other big difference between the m4 and m3? Just got the m4 24gb RAM 512gb SSD from the microcenter deal for $1190 but haven't opened it yet.
