I bought this set new for $99 and the audio cuts out for a second at least two times a minute. So I understand why there are a lot of refurbs.

I would stay away from these. The handling noise is terrible and they have a bad proximity effect. The handling noise especially make them completely unsuitable for any type of use.

There should not be any kind of noise coming form the inside. If you have any kind of warranty. Contact JBL.

I would rather stick with this with the replacable AA batteries. Keep a few set of charged AA or new AA and you can go as long as you want.

any even at 5hour is plenty unless it is a diddy party
