The magazine is now bi-monthly, so a 1-year subscription is now only 6 issues.
Most major major Librarys provide free web access using your library card. Just check out the 'additional resource' section on your library site.
Great idea, but CR relies 100% on subscribers and donations, so if you enjoy the content, it may be worth it to support it (so it doesn't go away).

Does the subscription include access to the website? They have a lot of reviews I've been wanting to look at.

No. It's funny, this would be the kind of thing they would call out. Online is a separate fee. I think you can just do online. Your library might have access too.

I don't subscribe any longer but it says 13 issues for one year.

This is what I was coming on to say. Our library offers a free online subscription by signing in through their affiliate link. So easy and free!

A lot of libraries give access to the digital version for free.

I was a long time subscriber to their publication since the 80's. Their past issues were just taking g too much shelf space 😝 so I switched to their online service. It's a bit pricy IMO but worth it for me.

It's really unfortunate how they have gone downhill with their review quality. They could have been a great independent resource for reviews, but their reviews are now either based on features that don't really matter, or aren't measured well for comparison, or don't consider many of the available makes and models.
I used to like them a lot.

This is still a pretty worthwhile sub that pays for itself across the year, thanks OP.

If you subscribe to Apple One and have Apple News I believe Consumer Reports is in the magazine section of the app.
