I bought the PS5 version that was posted here a few days ago, and it's actually not that bad. It's definitely better than Dragon Age 2. I would say that it's about the same as Inquisition, where I don't love it, but I also don't hate it. Origins is still my favorite, because you can tell that they put the most work into it. Having those long original opening quests, and having all of your choices truly matter, and having those raunchy sex scenes. That's still my favorite. I also miss having Morrigan as a party member, instead of as a character who shows up in every game for five minutes. Even though I killed her in Origins.

There is hate mostly because it pushes a DEI agenda so hard and obviously that most refused to play it on that alone. Those I have known to have played it say it is not remotely at the same level as inquisition, and it does not feel like it is even a Dragon Age game. Hope that helps.

I think it's funny that people complain about that, because Bioware games have been "DEI" forever. Each game has had black characters, and female characters, and LGBTQIA+ characters. The people screaming about it probably aren't even true Bioware fans. It's been in their games for decades. Because, Bioware wants their games to reflect the real world. It would be pretty weird if all of their games were just totally populated by nothing but straight white men.
