Basically one machine has better performance but is unrepairable and you will spending big bucks on battery replacements over the years, and the other you can buy the tool necessary to fix it and batteries for about the same cost for a single Dyseon OEM battery replacement. After that it's just cost of li-ion batteries to fix every 2 to 3 years. The V10 will last me much longer than a V15 as a result at significantly lower cost to repair in the long run.
Could just be a dated description, but in my experience you can never be too sure what you'll get with Woot. The eBay deal is still live, that's official Dyson certified and 6 month warranty for $399. Could be worth the $50, depending on what you value. Even better was the brief deal at Amazon for Dyson "Renewed Premium" with a 2-year warranty for $399 (currently expired).
