With the LTE option do you have to get an additional line from cell provider?

No. If you want, you can add cellular plan. Otherwise you can use it as Wi-Fi model.

I think the cheaper model is Bluetooth, not Wi-Fi

It says "Wifi Only" on cheaper one - is it a mistake?

I made the mistake of buying one of these a year ago. The support is contracted to a 3rd party, and is absolutely the worst. Battery life is terrible. Constant syc issues with my Pixel phone. I have a Garmin watch now. Love it.

The LTE one has a 1 year warranty vs 90 day on the bluetooth only one.

I have GoogleFi and it's included in the price.
