Ok this might sound really dumb but I ended up getting the double click issues a few months after owning it, saw someone saying if you shake the mouse really hard it fixes it. I shook that bad boy as hard as I could for like 40 seconds...haven't had an issue in 2 years lol if you still have it give it a good shake it might fix it.
Still amazed they keep this model going after all the double click issues and the replacement model already exists.
I've never had double click issued and I've gone through about 8 of them. There's a reason this mouse is still so popular - it's a great mouse, and there's really nothing like it if you're a fan of the shape and number of buttons.

Thanks! Got one. It's going for $60 at micro center so this looks like a good deal. It seems to have good reviews and I like Logitech.

Also, it's $40.99 at Best Buy [bestbuy.com]

and 3camels suggests it has gone down to this price point in the past year.

Mine has lasted for ~4-5yrs without issues. I adore it so much, I own like 7 of these things. Wired, Wireless, Wireless plus or X haha. At the office, at my other office, home, wife's pc, and kiddos pc's. All of them without any issues whatsoever.

The only thing I used to hate was the infinite loading screen glitch on software, but the new version don't have that issue anymore. I used to stay in a stable version and removed the updates so it could work before.

My favorite mouse! It's nice to have extra skis around to replace after a while (the bottom stickers). I only replace this when the double-click issue comes but it only happened about after 6 years or so of use. I'll grab one for an extra back up!

Had this mouse. Loved it while it lasted. Unfortunately it developed some clicking issues.

The mouse itself is decent, but the software you use with it is complete junk.

Yea the old lgs is better than the new one, and for some reason they don't make it easy to transfer profiles between mice as a replacement g502 shows up as an entirely separate mouse and doesn't prompt to transfer over settings, waste of time.

so much this!!! The DPI setting/ settings in general often reset. Doesn't matter if i store the profile on the mouse or not. I have to open the program and then close it and it resets what ever memory. The program is really slow to start up.

I got addicted to the thumb button on the Corsair M65 many years ago, but they seemed to start double clicking after about 6 months. After going through 5 of 6 of them, Switched to the Logitech G502. I don't like the thumb button as much on the Logitech G502, but I can get the mouse for half the cost and it seems to last longer than the Corsair before it starts double clicking or having some other problem.

I buy a new G502 almost every time it goes below $40. It's been a while since I've seen it on sale. I only had one backup left, so I just ordered another one.

If anyone knows of a good mouse that has a thumb button similar to the Corsair M65 or Logitech G502, let me know.

the fact that you've gone through EIGHT of them sounds pretty bad. they die that fast or break down that quickly? hard pass.
