The 29oz regular version is $5.49 at Costco currently. I know this is the reduced salt version and I really wanted to try it but this is only 10oz so not sure if it is worth it. This is 125mg per 1/4 tsp vs 180mg for the regular for those that are curious. Reviews are good with many saying it brings out the flavors of the spices more.

Salt is the cheapest ingredient surely - crazy the price difference, even 'on sale' (paying the same for 1/3rd the quantity...). I bought this, once. I've cooked with both - everything from omelets to steaks. The salt in this product is finer I'd say. More like table salt. Close enough in taste otherwise.
If I wanted to mitigate the salt some, I'd simply dial back how much I dashed in, and add extra pepper/garlic/onion/paprika powder, which is pretty common in most spice cabinets. But the chunkier salt in the OG Montreal just coats/melts better than this version, imo. You can save sodium elsewhere, and not pay 3x as much to do so.
