Well...depends on what you are doing with it. Show me one for $550 thats better
1080p 2k 4k is an old way to call fhd, qhd and uhd. Changing a 1080p from 16:9 to 16:10 doesn't make it 2k. Come'on.
ackshually its 1200p

No it isn't. I see where you're coming from though.

If your logic held up, then 1080p movies would be 822p instead.

Movies are generally 21:9 aspect ratio, which makes them 1920x822. Your favorite "4k/2160p" movies are 3840x1600 - hence the black bars at the top and bottom of your screen.

When someone says 1080p, they just mean that the width is 1920 - regardless of what the height is.

Same applies to 2560x1600/1440p still being "1440p" and 3840x2400/2160p still being "2160p/4k".

Hope this helps.

Soldered too, so no upgrade path.
Good catch, thanks!
Chat stated- "The HP Omnibook 5 16-ag1175cl comes with LPDDR5x-7500 RAM, which is soldered onto the motherboard, meaning it cannot be upgraded. However, the SSD storage is replaceable, so you can swap out the 1TB SSD for a larger capacity drive if needed"

I just got mine and it very tasty for office use, I only use web editing and logo making and QuickBooks on it and web stuff and it's as snappy as anything I've used but I'm not a snob , I just want out to work as fast as I press the button lol and not make me wait to load lol
Question for you, I've ordered 2 of these now from Costco and both have come with a loose touchpad. I barely run my finger across and it pushes down towards the bottom. Does your have a similar issue?

Considering that it maybe just bad luck, thinking about ordering another one ... already returned the other 2.

Would this be good for light video editing? Nothing like making 3d movies. Just dropping down the time.
Yes? But, IMO, the screen is just terrible for anything but web browsing.

iPad Air should be a better "balanced" device for editing videos around this price.

It doesn't look like much of a compromise, but a bad screen is usually the biggest indicator of a cheap device.

Nope those things will meltdown as soon as you start trying to video edit. This is more for Excel and web browsing.

Hahah excel and web browsing??? That's what a Chromebook is for

Sorry I just saw this, I just checked my pad it doesn't feel loose to me, it doesn't slide out of place at all, I assume you are saying physically the trackpad is actually sliding down out of position?

It clicks without much pressure but doesn't feel or act abnormal

In case touchpad sensitivity is your issue, you can adjust this setting.

To adjust touchpad sensitivity in Windows 11, navigate to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad, and then adjust the Touchpad sensitivity setting. You can choose from Low, Medium, High, or Most Sensitive to customize the touchpad's response
