I just read that Petsmart is shuttering all its stores. This is an unfortunate sign of the times and is sure to drive prices up and put lots of people out of work. There will undoubtedly be lots of price slashing going on, so watch for it.

They are focused on paying off their debt but they have not declared bankruptcy yet. They are struggling. I wouldn't be surprised if they start minimizing their stores.

The news would be from last year. Separating Chewy from PetSmart, letting Chewy become their own company, was a horrible mistake. They've been slowly closing stores, in locations that seem to be plagued with retail theft. The same zip codes you'll find Walmarts have half their products locked up and other retailers closing up.
