Make sure they are dried well, otherwise it'll develop spots. Not sure what kind of 'Japanese steel' it is, but hopefully it's a good one.

I made knives out of 'Valyrian steel', but that ended poorly.

My only issue with this is who wants to hold cold metal? I really enjoy the kitchen aid cheapo color knifes with light plastic handle..

I much prefer these one piece blade with no plastic or wooden handles. Because it doesn't trap food particles in the handle. Over time all bolted on handles will start to loosen and allow stuff to get inside. Solid pieces like these will last forever without having to worry about . I've own several sets and cook daily.

I've been needing some additional cheap knives.

I like that these are all one piece. Probably easier to clean. I'm not going to be expecting too much out of these

Yea but they also are slippery when ur hands are wet
