It doesn't have a rechargeable battery--needs a coin battery.
No va tech independent eval rating that I see
Mine lasted about 4 years of pretty regular usage and then changing it wasn't too difficult. You have to kind of carefully pop out the entire light and then use a coin to open it. But it takes a standard CR2032 battery like an AirTag.

Good Deal for MIPS. I wish they had the blue one for shipping. Perhaps in store...

I haven't seen these in warehouses this year. Good deal, only black in stock. In for one.

I believe I bought this (or a very similar one) from Costco in the warehouse in the past. I thought it was fine (my regular helmet for a while). I am buying another one to replace a lost/misplaced helmet. Thumbs up.

Does that mean it needs to be changed like every week or even sooner? Wow, thx the biggest selling point turns out to be a huge drawback

Is it adjustable size? Will it fit xl head?

I was going to point this out… it's one size fits all but with adjustable head-grabbing thing inside. I have a pretty large head (XL in sized helmets) and it just barely works for me. It's on the cusp of being too tight but I love the built-in light and cheap price so I accept the trade off.

I've had a similar one from Costco for nearly a decade and use the light for 1-2 hour stretches maybe a dozen times a year and still on the first battery. It's just 2-3 LEDs that either glow or flash, it's not that energy hungry

I got this helmet from Costco last year. Looks great, comfortable, good price, BUT the black pads inside the yellow MIPs liner came unglued one by one (maybe from storing in garage?) and I was unsuccessful in gluing them back in. It doesn't fit right and is uncomfortable without the pads, so I ended up returning it. Not sure if mine was defective or if this is common, but thought I should share.
