there was a bad firmware update that basically overvolted or something and the headphones wouldn't last more than 20 minutes.

Got my pair today - clean as clean can be. Looks brand new and, to me, sounds better than my AirPods Pro and my Beats Pro (wrap around the ear thingy).

I would buy again and I have the headphone version to XM5. Sony kicks butt!

Also, box was white and nothing fancy, actually underwhelming but it's everything Sony says these EarPods are!!!

I also got my pair yesterday. It appeared new. No issues till now. Foam ear tips feel tight in the ears. I will see if I get used to it. Sound quality is better than Airpods pro gen 1.

How does this compare to Bose QC Earbuds Gen 1? Bose earbuds got static now, so need another. noise cancellation is the biggest draw
