With the language in Chinese (I assume), is this a fake Plano? I know some of their products are made in the USA (Plano, IL)

It is Japanese

As an asian Chinese here, this is the Japanese language. What's different? The words that the Chinese use do not come with marks/signs alike between words, unless it's " , or #¥$
FYI, this is only simple Chinese, not traditional Chinese. I can only assume that Taiwan uses, I do believe they called it "sound remarks," that no words can explain

Well if you care about it being waterproof, the latches are a necessity.

Noticed Harbor Freight carries a similar box, actually slightly bigger for $4. Quality seems good and has good reviews.

The harbor freight box has 2 middle spacers that aren't removeable. So you can't put a phone in or something wider than an inch or so, otherwise a good product.

I have a bunch of slightly larger ones from a walmart deal a few years back. They are great organizers even when not being used in waterproof situations, because they are sturdy enough to get stuff set on top of them without caring at all.

Also for that, the clips are easy to remove. I take off the left/right clips leaving just the center one, it still closes very snug and is probably waterproof to be honest, but way easier to get into.

Weird that they include the Japanese photos, but these are made in the USA... Not an amazing deal for the size, imho.

I have to assume that this was historically a significant export product. Maybe the reduced shipping volume (due to this trade war) has resulted in a surplus of American made products that would have typically been shipped to other markets within US warehouses?

I know Plano tackle boxes are, at least historically, very highly regarded in Japan.

Someone pointed it out. It definitely wasn't English.

If you need help with the conversion from the metric measurements to the US there is a formula for that. 2.54 centimeters =1 inch
