I previous cancelled this current plan a couple of months ago.
With that being said, I went to restart my plan at the cost of $79.99 and it said I won't be charged until the next billing cycle (5/29/2025), and I accepted.
I then went to cancel the plan for the next billing cycle and was offered to stay for $19.99 on the next billing year billing cycle. 5/29/2025 to 5/29/2026 for $19.99.
Maybe someone here who reads this can try and see if it works for them.
Excludes current paying subscribers. After offer ends, each year you will be charged $79.99 (or the then-current retail price) plus tax until you cancel. Cancel anytime. Additional eligibility restrictions and terms apply: Offer Terms.
any current plan holders will not be able to extend...no stacking deals. Bummer!

Before even clicking the cancel button, an offer for a full year June 2025 - June 2026 for $20 was offered. That's about $1.67/month. I'd planned to cancel - $25 was too much in my mind, but seeing the $20 offer and having access to Olympic Sports (international competitions from FINA) for the next year - I love springboard diving - was worth it to me. Too bad they don't get EU specific or NCAA competitions. Plus, there's usually a few movies to check out each month. Last November, I pulled a list of all the shows/movies and it was 963.
Hopefully, I won't get addicted to any new Telenovelas.
Anyway, for close-to-expiration subscribers, it seems a $20/yr plan is being offered. It was to me.
If you don't like ads on streaming services, just record the content, then run it through comskip. Lots of ways to record at 1080i/1080p exist. Some don't use a computer, but a relatively cheap hardware HDMI recording device. Of course, if you want better quality, then a higher-end HDMI recorder is needed. Not all 1080 recording devices are the same and there are clear differences in material that was actually filmed and streamed at the better quality than most stuff from 2006 and earlier, but many films have been remastered and do look quiet good with a quality recorder.
Plus, but time-shifting your playback, you can avoid peak streaming bandwidth problems caused by all your neighbors streaming and gaming in the evenings too. Record overnight or before 5pm and there are seldom bandwidth issues like buffering or stuttering.
Er ... so I hear. Clearly, I have no personal direct knowledge about any of these things.
