blue screen of death machines, HP did something wrong with the software on these.
Could be hardware too. My current HP laptop is fine (great deal). The Omen before that burned itself up after 13 months. I was sitting in the Windows desktop and it started to smoke. I opened it up and saw it had fried the northbridge.
Just sharing my limited experience with HP support on this laptop model.
I recently received two Victus laptops for repairs—one of them being the Intel counterpart (i5-13420H). Both were only a few months old but had completely failed to power on.
I sent them off to HP for warranty repairs. Although HP quickly diagnosed the issue as a motherboard failure for both laptops within just a couple of days of receiving the laptops, they informed me that the actual repair would take several weeks due to a shortage of the motherboard part. It in fact ended up being 6-7 weeks for the repairs to be completed including another week for FedEx ground shipping.
During the warranty process setup, HP did offer loaner laptops, but I initially declined since I wasn't yet aware of the extended repair timeline.
For my own curiosity, I did send a message to HP requesting that they adjust the factory warranty to account for the lengthy repair period, but HP never responded.

I just gave up trying to repair my son's HP Victus, similar model, with the same issue. Wouldn't power on. I was hoping it was the charging port, but the issue is downstream, somewhere on the motherboard. Unfortunately ours is out of warranty.
I was considering getting this one so we could reuse the AC adapter (have an extra) but now that I see the issue is more pervasive, going to avoid. Thanks for posting and helping me out.

As someone who used to buy HP laptops, I've learned to stay away from them.
