Ha, looks like an Australian plug... but definitely should not/could not be used as an adapter (edit: for Australia travel)

It's a TT-30P plug, which is a standard for 120V/30A. It's completely fine to use a simple adapter like this as long as the voltage matches and especially if the amperage is being stepped down instead of up.

Well, yeah. Australian voltage is 230V. Also, the ground plug on an Australian outlet is flat, while the CamCo one is round
