Best "Best Upper Mid-Range TV For Watching Movies" per Rtings. Just got this deal a couple weeks ago at best buy, but wasn't available for a grand anywhere else then.
Can confirm it looks good in a well lit room. Did a lot of research and price for value, this is about as good as it gets for a new TV. Discount likely cuz new models are coming out, from what I read

I'm waiting for the 990D and this to go down one more price notch, 990D < $800 and S90D < $1000, then I'll buy 2 990Ds and the S90D.

Does it get bright enough? We were considering the Hisense u8n because we like bright pictures. I know this is from a few years ago, but we have an LG CX OLED and it felt dim compared to a conventional LED TV.
