"The Hisense U7N is better than the Panasonic W95A overall. The Hisense has better contrast and HDR brightness, displaying deeper blacks in a dark room and brighter highlights. The Hisense also overcomes more glare in a bright room due to its superior reflection handling, is the more accurate TV in both SDR and HDR, and displays clearer motion due to its faster response time. However, the Panasonic displays slightly more vibrant colors and does a better job of upscaling low-resolution content. Sadly, you can't use VRR and local dimming on the Panasonic simultaneously."
Rtings should rewrite that comparison paragraph since that was written before they did their 2.0 testing method update. That was written when they rated the U7N @ 8.2 overall and the W95A @ 7.9. With the 2.0 update they are more evenly matched with each rated @ 7.5 overall. First change is, that although the U7N has better contrast, the black levels are actually rated better on the W95A. Also... the U7N may be more accurate in both SDR & HDR, but that's pre-calibration, and the W95A is more accurate in both SDR & HDR after calibration (who doesn't tweak settings these days?). The last thing that really stands out is that the new testing method reveals that the response time is actually better on the W95A (very good) than on the U7N (mediocre), so less blur behind fast-moving objects on the W95A.

I bought this TV about 2hrs ago and just received a call from beach camera(?) saying the TV will be delivered in 10-15 days. I pointed out that on their website it said it would be shipped within 1-2 days. Now I'm thinking I should cancel the oder and just get it at Costco or Amazon.
Whoever the partner is for Amazon is openly lying about delivery date (or CEVA is lying). I still haven't received mine (initially ordered around May 15, was supposed to get it on 23rd of May, then they postponed it to Jun 3 despite claiming that they shipped it a week earlier and providing a tracking number (which doesn't work). It's now Jun 4, and shipping status still hasn't updated, so don't waste your time with Amazon.

Panasonic quit the US retail market years ago. With No Explanation. I contacted them on the phone and still got no answer. My guess is that this is another Chinese Rebrand

65" available for the same price at Costco. You lose the soundbar but gain a year of warranty
Not the same price. The 55" on buydig is $500, but its $600 for the 65". Costco is $100 cheaper for 65", but yes, without the discontinued soundbar or speaker. Costco bundle also comes with a total of 5 years warranty.
So you get the 65" tv for $500 with 5 years warranty vs $600 for soundbar and 1 year warranty.

Personally its a no brainer to me, especially if you already have a nice soundbar.

Good deal if you get one not broken in transit. My 65 inch came today but the screen is shattered. Shipping box looked fine though. Got it from Amazon directly so no hassle returning it. Bummed as I have no TV for the time being.

This is kinda insane value.... Panasonic is going hard to make a comeback in our markets and I think its working

They are doing well in SE Asia, I have a second home there and have my air conditioners as well as a fridge by them. Good stuff so far, 7 years out.

Wrong company lol, youre thinking of Sharp & Hisense, but Sharp also bought themselves back from Hisense. Panasonic has always been independent.
He is not wrong. The panel is made by TCL

So, that makes Panasonic Chinese? Sony is Korean then.

I dont think he was saying Panasonic is Chinese, they are a Japanese company, BUT [according to Panasonic] many of their tvs are made in China. Be hard pressed to find any company that makes its own products anymore lol

Anything that comes with Fire TV is an instant pass. Not only is it a terrible OS, Amazon locks it down so you can't modify it at all.
