"Basmati rice from India, jasmine rice from Thailand and California-grown sushi and Calrose rice (a form of sushi rice) were at or below the 100 parts per billion levels set by the FDA for arsenic in infant rice cereals. However, the Indian basmati and Italian Arborio varieties contained the highest average levels of cadmium."

We bought this bag from Costco on a whim, wanted to try a good Basmati since Gordon Ramsey loves the stuff.
This stuff is INCREDIBLY herbal. Like, overpowers pretty much any dish for us. I found that I've had to heavily rinse the rice in a sieve for a minute or two and it toned it down significantly. We're still working down the last few pounds of the stuff, will probably go back to Jasmine.
But if herbal is your thing, this stuff has some intense flavor.
Nop this brand is from India and from what I remember arsenic is not an issue in Indian grown basmati rice.

Considering the fact that apples don't contain arsenic, I don't think it'll blow anyone's mind. Apple seeds contain amygdalin, which breaks down into arsenic in the body, but it's only a small amount. There's this wild trick to not getting arsenic poisoning with apples: don't eat 2,000 apple seeds (how many you'd need to eat to die from cyanide poisoning).
