True but it's literally twice as much, so you could think of it as buying a $217 drill press with a 2 year warranty, plus an additional $217 just for an extended warranty.

Like I said, I'm happy with the Jet. But if I could do it again, I would get the Wen and spend the difference on something else.

I've had this Jet drill press since about 2016. It's good but FYI, it's a rebadged WEN 4214T [homedepot.com], which is just $217 right now at Home Depot. I have a lot of Jet tools (including the mortiser in this post) and like them but I would buy the Wen drill press.

You may be right, but the Wen you listed has a 2 year warranty where this Jet has a 5 year.

Agree. Side by side it's identical to the Wen. Minor change in platform design, but otherwise. Paying for the 5 year warranty and badge on the Jet.
