Man this really validates how good of a deal that 60v w the extra battery for $250ish was a few months ago.

The 40v isnsimply too weak. Any sort of dampness in your grass just clogs this up. I've been using a 40v 21 inch greenworks for 6 years and this has always been an issue. This price isn't great either. 299 would be a decent price

I just got the 40V 19-inch push version of this for $168 on the other deal, and honestly it doesn't seem too weak, got the job done. To be fair, I've never owned an electric mower before so I don't have any point of comparison. I haven't mowed since the fall (have been procrastinating a lot) so I had a ton of weeds, including some thicker ones. The Greenworks mower worked fine, really the only thing was that I had to go over the really bad thick weed areas again to make sure I got it all. For under $170, it's honestly been a good deal, that being said this one is over double the price for the 21-inch self-propelled 5Ah version instead of 19-inch push 4Ah version... and those differences don't seem worth $360.

The main thing I'd keep in mind with these cordless appliances is battery life. You'll probably get 80-90% of the listed duration (so about 35 minutes for this mower), which is really only an issue if you want to spend an hour or two doing the entire lawn (if it's larger) and don't want to stop. Personally, I don't mind if I mow for 25-30 minutes to get half the lawn done before the battery is out, then put the battery on the charger and finish the other half later in the day. The smart thing to do to avoid this issue is to buy more than one appliance of the same brand & voltage (e.g. Greenworks 40V or Greenworks 60V) that come with a battery each. Then you'll have multiple batteries to use on whichever tool(s) you're looking to use if you want to use them for longer.

I would avoid this brand. I have the lawn mower. The motors were making noise after 2 seasons. Luckily the motors are sold separate.

I have had pretty good results with Greenworks (8 years). I have many of their 40v tools (20 inch mower, trimmer, hedge trimmer, blower, chainsaw, pole saw, tiller, tire inflator, inverter). The mower has been the one that I've had to adjust how I use it versus gas. I agree that if mowing the yard and its long and damp, it will clog if you have it in mulch mode. I put the bagger on then. Yeah, its a pain to empty it constantly, but it keeps it from clogging and nothing mulches well when its long and damp. I do have to go a little slower than I'd like if its a bit longer. If I had to start buying completely new into a system, I probably would go 60 or 80v, but I have made the 40v work.

The LED Headlight allows me to mow when it is dark out.

Dude gets one dud and thinks the entire brand is bad. Typical. Mines still rocking 10 years after purchase with 0 issues. So what now?
